Synopsis

In Taipei, a rehearsal for Kafka’s Metamorphosis is in full swing as the show’s opening night approaches. After the rehearsal, actor Lin picks up his girlfriend, Julie, who is visiting him from Paris, at the airport. The two reunite and spend the night together. In the morning, Lin is nowhere to be found. Julie waits at Lin’s apartment. She has never been to Taiwan and she doesn’t speak any Chinese. She desperately worries. Lin’s co-worker, Pineapple, arrives and she is also looking for him. Pineapple and Lin used to be lovers and Pineapple still has feelings for him. The story unfolds through a mysterious case of kidnapping and the search in Taiwan by the two lovers of Lin, desperately wishing him safe and sound.
